Defining how the offer behaves
Use Behavior to you define how you want the offer to behave in your store.
Note: What you see in this step will differ based on the type of offer you create and the trigger you select.
Coupon Codes
Coupon Codes appears when you select Coupon Code as the trigger type. Use the Coupon Codes pane to select how you want to add coupon codes to the offer. Once you complete the wizard, you will be able to add, generate, or import the codes for the offer. See How to create a coupon code offer for more information on adding coupon codes to your offer.

Limit Individual Coupon Usage |
Select this checkbox if you want to limit the use of individual coupon codes. This only limits the number of times shoppers can use each code. If you want to limit the use of the offer itself, use the Offer Controls. Limit how many times shoppers can redeem the offer in your store. |
Bundle Options
The Bundle Option pane appears when you select All Products Bundle, Bundle, or Cross-Sell as the offer type. Use the Bundle Options pane to define the relationship between the products in the bundle. Select the options that represent how you want the parent and child products to behave in the offer. See Bundle policy for more information.

Discount Level
Use the Discount Level pane to define where to apply the offer discount.

Shipping Discount
If you create an offer using the Discount offer type, you can optionally add a shipping discount to that offer.

Subscription Controls
Use the Subscription Controls pane to indicate how the offer should behave when you create an offer for a subscription product. If you do not associate subscription products with the offer, the system will ignore these settings.
Note: The Subscription Controls options only appear when you enable them for your store. See How to configure site settings for subscription products.

Offer Controls
Use the Offer Controls pane to:
- Set usage limits on how many times shoppers can use an offer
- Specify which locales can see and redeem the offer
- Specify who can redeem the offer (public shoppers versus Private Store shoppers
- Restrict deployment of the offer by role
You can notify shoppers when the offer they are using has a usage limit. See Offer Usage Limit Warning and Restrict Deployment for more information.

Total Limit |
The total number of uses per offer in your store. Note that an empty field value or value of zero means unlimited use. Example: If the Total Limit value is 500, the shoppers can use the offer can a total of 500 times in your store. This field appears when you select the Limit Total Usage checkbox when you create an offer. |
Locale Restrictions |
Allows you to restrict the offer by locale. Choose one of the following options:

If you have a Private Store site, you can create exclusive offers for your Private Store shoppers. To create an exclusive offer for Private Store shoppers the offer must use the always triggered or coupon code offer trigger, and you must create at least one Private Store for the site. Choose one of the following audience options for your offer:

Restrict to Merchandising Deployer |
Controls who can deploy the offer. When selected, only a user with the Merchandising Deployment Manager This Global Commerce user role allows users to deploy offers for a site. role (or an internal user) can deploy the offer. Note: This attribute only appears when a user selects Only Specific Offers under the Restrict Deployment on the Create Offers Type page. |
Limit Individual Shopper Usage |
Restrict the number of times an individual shopper can redeem this offer using the promotional URL or the coupon code trigger. These triggers require the shopper to click a link or enter a code to redeem the offer so the system can track the offer. This field only appears when you select the Coupon Code or Promotional URL trigger type. |

When you select Restrict to Merchandising Deployer, you must choose one of the following options:

If you want to use a POP with the offer, select the POP from the Points of Promotion list under Offer Display. Only POPs added to the offer type in the offer settings appear in this list.
Tip: Some offers require that you select a specific POP for the offer to work as expected. See Configuring the offer type to learn if the offer type you selected requires a specific POP.
When you select a POP, the Supported Locales pane appears at the bottom of the page where you can choose the locales that can see the POP (and therefore the offer). If you are not using a POP and want to control what locales can see the offer, use the Restrict Offer to Specific Locales attribute in Offer Controls.
Note: If you do not select a POP for an offer, you will not be able to enter localized offer content (offer images, descriptions, and so on). In addition, if you do not enter localized content for a supported locale, the POP for the supported locale shows the default locale's content.

Use the Offer Tracking pane to indicate how you will distribute the offer to shoppers.

Supported Locales
You can restrict an offer so only shoppers in a specific locale can see and redeem the offer. By default, offers are available in all locales supported by your store. You can choose the locales that can see and redeem an offer. Only shoppers in those locales that you select for the offer will be able to see and redeem the offer in your store.
You can also localize the offer display content so that the sales pitch, offer text, and so on appears in the language for a specific locale. For more information on localizing your offers, see Localizing offers.
Example: You can choose to restrict the offer to three supported locales: the default locale of English (United States), Spanish (Mexico), and French (Canada). This means that shoppers in any other locale cannot see or redeem the offer. You can also choose a POP to show this offer on the Home Page or in a Banner Ad. You enter localized content for the supported locales when creating an offer.

Select the checkbox next to each locale that applies to this offer. When you select a locale, you will be able to enter the localized content for that locale on the Display Content step in the Create Offer wizard. If you do not select a checkbox for a supported locale, the shoppers for that locale will not be able to see or redeem the offer. |
Subscription Controls
If your store uses subscriptions, you can create an offer for subscription products. There are some options you can use to dictate whether you want to apply an offer to initial subscription purchases and/or renewals of a subscription. This can be helpful when you use EDS or Backup Media with your offers, or when you use bundle offers with your subscription products.
Note: The Subscription Controls options only appear when enabled for your store. See How to configure site settings for subscription products for more information.
The Subscription Controls options allow you to define when you want to apply the offer to subscription orders. You can select one or more of the three different options, based on how you want the offer to behave with your subscription products.
You can use the subscription options with offers created for very specific products or offers created for all products in your catalog or all products in one or more categories.
