Managing catalogs

Use the Catalogs page to organize products in your store. Each site can have multiple catalogs. You must designate one of the catalogs as the default catalog.

Digital River initially creates the catalogs for your site. Internal UsersClosed An internal Digital River user of Global Commerce. Internal users have access to features or settings that clients do not. These features or settings could really affect commerce on the store or is complicated to set up or manage. can create additional catalogs for clients as needed. If you are a client (and you have the Catalog Manager role), you can view and edit the existing catalog details. You can also change the search service used for the catalog.

Catalogs attributes

Attribute Description
ID

The catalog ID.

Note: When you create a catalog, the system assigns a catalog ID to the catalog. The ID identifies the catalog in the system and cannot be changed.

Name

The name used to identify the catalog within Global Commerce. Shoppers will not see this name in your store.

To view or edit a catalog, click the name of the catalog in the Catalogs list. See Editing a catalog for more information.

Display Name

The name used to identify the catalog within Global Commerce. Shoppers will not see this name in your store.

How to access the Catalogs page

Select Catalog, select Catalogs and Categories and click Manage Categories. The Catalogs page appears.
