Configuring devices

Use the Configure Devices page to assign the theme you want to use when a shopper uses a specific device to visit your store. When you assign a theme to a device, that theme overrides the default theme set for your store or a specific page. When a shopper accesses your store using a specific mobile phone or tablet, the theme shows the store in a format suitable to that mobile phone or tablet.

Attribute Description
Type

The type of configuration device. The options are as follows:

  • mobile
  • tablet
Device

The type of device. The options are as follows:

  • Android (mobile and tablet)
  • Blackberry (mobile only)
  • iPad (tablet only)
  • iPhone (mobile only)
  • Windows Phone (mobile only)
  • Windows 8 (tablet only)
Theme Assignment

The theme assigned to the device.

The system disables this field when you select the Use Default Theme. You must clear the Use Default Theme checkbox before you can enter a theme in this field.
Use Default Theme When selected, the device uses the default theme. Clear the checkbox if you want to assign a theme to the device.
  1. Select Store Builder, select Storefront, and then click Configure Devices. The Configure Devices page appears.

  2. To assign a theme to a device:

    1. Clear the Use Default Theme checkbox.
    2. Click the Search icon next to the Assigned Theme field. The Select a Theme window appears.
    3. Select the theme from the Select a Theme list.
    4. Click Add Selected Theme. The name of the theme appears in the Theme Assignment field.
  3. To use the default theme, select the Use Default Theme checkbox next to the device.
  4. Click Save.
