Use the Catalogs and Categories step to organize the product on your site. Categories can affect how a shopper finds your product. Catalogs and Categories provide a means of organizing products into groups and structuring your store by product characteristics.
When you select a catalog, note the following:
- The catalog you select here will determine the price lists you can use with the product. Price lists are associated with catalogs.
- You can add the product to as many catalogs as you want. However, most stores only have one catalog.
- Add Product to Categories lists the categories that are in the catalogs.
- You must select at least one category.
- You can assign as many categories as you want to the product.
