Managing tags

Assigning a tag to a product helps the Catalog Manager to organize products into different logical groups such as by product categories, product life-cycle, or by product price. 

Use Manage Tags to organize products into different logical groups.

Example: Organize the product by product categories, product lifecycle, or product price.

Manage Tags attributes

Attribute Description
Tag Name The name of the tag.
ID The tag's ID.
Name The name of the tag.

How to create a tag

  1. Select Catalog, select Catalogs and Categories and then click Manage Tags.

  2. Type a name for the tag in the Tag name field.

    Note: The tag name is not case sensitive.

  3. Click Save. The new tag appears in the Tags list.

How to rename a tag

  1. Select Catalog, select Catalogs and Categories and then click Manage Tags.
  2. Double click the tag name you want to change under the Name column in the Tags list.

  3. Type the new name for the tag in the Tag name field.

    Note: The tag name is not case sensitive.

  4. Click Save.
